System Administrator III

Location: Fort Meade, MD

Clearance Required: Current TS/SCI Clearance with Polygraph

Required Qualifications:

  • Ten (10) years of experience as an SA in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity.
  • A bachelor’s degree in a technical or business discipline from an accredited college or university. Five years of additional SA experience may be substituted for a bachelor’s degree.
  • Three (3) years of experience with modern operating systems and network architectures.
  • Three (3) years of experience with the Certification and Accreditation process, Architecture development and design, Risk Assessments, and IA Metrics gathering.
  • DoD 8570 CWIP Information Assurance Technical (IAT) Level I certification is required.

Job Description:

Provides support for implementing, troubleshooting, and maintaining Information Technology (IT) systems. Manages IT system infrastructure and any processes related to these systems. Provides support to IT systems, including day-to-day operations, monitoring, and problem resolution for all client/server/storage/network devices, mobile devices, etc. Provides Tier 1 (Help Desk) and Tier 2 (Escalation) problem identification, diagnosis, and resolution of problems. Includes support for escalating and communicating status to agency management and internal customers. Provides support for the dispatch system and hardware problems and remains involved in the resolution process. Configures and manages UNIX and Windows operating systems and installs/loads operating system software, troubleshoots, maintains integrity, configures network components, and implements operating systems enhancements and updates to improve reliability, security, and performance.
